Five stars. Ching's Punaluu Store was a lifesaver on my epic Dick Evan's Road Race in August 2024, during Hurricane Hone. I was bonking out by the time I reached here and I had no nutrition or hydration left on my bike. The food I had was a spam musubi and a Coke. Boy, it was a lifesaver indeed! The service was great. The auntie helming the cash register was friendly and allowed me to lean my bike inside of the store while I grabbed my stuff (didn't want it to get stolen left outside). The ambiance was an old school, Hawai'i mom and pops store that definitely brought back some nostalgic memories! A true gem when I needed it the most!

I personally like the coffee and acai bowl. Other snacks are available too. The service is helpful. The ambiance has small town family feel to it. The selection could be better but is optimal given the store's size. Overall, I would bring my family to this store again in the future if visiting the North Shore.

Ching's is your friendly neighborhood staple! Can't miss the bright red exterior as you drive along Kamehameha Hwy going towards the North Shore. Some parking available but its first come and first serve. My favorites include: - Banana bread - Poke - All the cold drinks (alcohol, non alcoholic) - Samurai soft serve If can, stop on by and support local before enjoying the East side of Oahu!

They make the best butter mochi!! Never tasted anything better, came to this store last year, and tried the butter mochi for the first time, came back here again yesterday and it was unfortunately sold out. The owner said he will have his dad bake some. We bought the whole pan. I really appreciate this store & how they're so welcoming.. i will miss the chings butter mochi!! everytime we visit Oahu we will always come back to this store! Mahalo!

Super friendly and convenient over on windward side. Small little store but has most essentials. Plus a really nice coffee store right there. Has food and supplies.

My family frequents this spot as it is a perfect place to stop and pickup snacks for the beach. Everything from maki sushi, Korean fried chicken, poke, and butter mochi. Staff is always friendly. Bonus: Great coffee shop connected to the shop and this store was in the movie, "Next Goal Wins".

Love this family store in Punaluu. Came to the coffee shop at 8 am this morning because it's under new management and has a new name called Coffee Cove Hawai'i (formerly Keao's Coffee). Stopped in the store to buy spam musubi that includes egg & daikon (this one sells out by 9 am), maki sushi (so fresh and ono), butter mochi, fried chicken, celery. So nice to get all this in one place PLUS great Coconut Vanilla Latte with almond milk, Matcha Latte, Mocha Macadamia Nut Latte, and an Acai bowl! Great service and really nice lattes, right in Punaluu!

The brownies here are awesome!! $1.50 for a brownie that would easily be $7 in Canada. Good assortment of drinks. They sell butter mocha- it's my first time trying it and it's pretty good w respect to the flavour, but I found the texture a bit grainy. That being said, I don't know what makes a good butter mochi. The brownie cookies were also excellent.
